For some reason whenever I use VDJ8 to do a video party it shows my computer home screen instead of the video when i plug it into the TV. The pop up video screen still shows on my computer screen but I can't get it to show on the TV. I have to go to VDJ 7 and set the video out for TV then restart VDJ 8. Someone please help.

You need to set your computer up to display an extended desktop, not a duplicate/clone desktop.
You don't mention your OS but on Windows 7 you can press the Windows logo key + P to display a popup.

You can do a rightclick on the video preview and choose the display you want to send the video to.
Looks like this, I don't have a second display connected, that's why it would not show up here.
But if you have, then there would be "display2" etc... to choose from.
