When I drag a few files from sidelist shortcut to automix (drag down to automix button) it works. When I select all of the files and try to drag it does not work at all.

It works if selected files are mp3, no matter how many files are selected.
Same process with only one flac file won't work at all.
If your selected list contains one or more flacs, it won't work either.
At least for me with build 2094 (tested with two different flac files).

For clarity When dragging all files from the Vertical side list down to the open automix shortcut to take advantage of the hover for 1 second, to switch side view whilst dragging tracks. After the side view switches the tracks will not add to the automix, exclude just 1 track and it works

That's how I do. Sometimes even with more tracks excluded (let's say 5) it won't work either.
Once I exclude the only flac of my sidelist by unselecting it, it works.

With only mp3 files.
Select all with ctrl-a > doesn't work
Unselect one or more files BUT the first one > doesn't work
Unselect the first file of the list > works
Put ONE only flac file in sidelist and then move it > doesn't work
