I wish we could have more control over the search section
instead of one global search, why not be able to choose which tags to search, example,
Title___________Artist________________Genre________________
be able to select an area to seach, it would help to not get as many returns.

Well title is pretty unique, artist and genre as a search works ok.

Because with the current scheme you search more precisely by typing less:
"riha tow" will bring you results like:
Rihanna - Run this town
Rihanna - Run this town feat. Jay Z
Rihanna feat Jay Z - Run this town
Rihanna feat Jay Z - Run this town (My Freaking Awesome Remix)
e.t.c...
Remember that you can type any part of any field you wish and it will be included in search ;)

Yes Phantom, that's what I thought and told a german guy with a similar question.
He asked why it's not possible to search for i.e. "Andrea Berg 2015" and bring up all tracks of Andrea Berg of the year 2015.
I said VDJ should do that if the "year" tag is checked as a search option, because, as you wrote too, VDJ will search any field with any part of your search. The "year" is checked, but apparently VDJ does not bring up any results.
I couldn't belive it so I retested myself and it is true. You will get results as long as there is no year in the search query.

Then that's a bug.
I will check and report!
Thanks!
