Im suppose to help a friend with a wedding in the morning and picked up a Numark controller and purchased the per controller license and logged in in VDJ and its still kicking my controller off at the 10 min. mark in the home version?

Is this normal?

after register it it should be ok ( the serial number with VDJ ) do you have a license pro ?
 
@asthedj, VDJ 8 doesn't use a serial number - and he's only a LE user (controller license) which means that it's FOR HOME USE ONLY and you (rblevins) shouldn't be performing at a wedding. For that you need either the full Pro (Infinity) license or the monthly subscription license.
 
if he's helping a friend unpayed, he can play at his wedding with a controller licence.
 
Yes, but we don't know that he's not being paid.

All we have to go on is what he said, which is that he bought the controller and a "controller license" because of the wedding gig (that's the way it reads).

The "friend" could be the groom - not necessarily another DJ who's being paid. The OP could be "helping" by being the main DJ.
