So recently for whatever reason i have encountered even more problems with Virtual DJ 8 sadly. For one, i can't put my tempo past -12 or +12. Before i was able to either go to 45 or 50, don't remember. Second, it seems that the controller won't recognize my headphones or surround sound now. I get no audio from my headphones or sound system now either and i have no idea how or why this is happening. It is really stressful since i have to pay to use my controller.... And now the program is not working right.

You should be able to change the pitch range by pressing the Shift + KeyLock button on the SB.
2nd: How exactly did you set up your controller and speakers right now. And please provide a screenshof of you soundsettings.

(Re)-Install the Pioneer DDJ-SB ASIO drivers. (<-- Important)
Make sure the DDJ-SB is NOT the default sound card of Windows (from Sound Control panel)
Use the special button you will find in VirtualDJ Settings-->AUDIO tab to get the pre-defined audio configuration.
