is it possible when i use virtualfolder_add to make vdj not switch to that folder on every use. Its a work flow killer having to keep switch back to the previous location to see if i want to add more files.

Yeah, have requested it too.
What I did as a workaround is to use the following script.
And it works better as expected:
virtualdfolder_add 'myFolder' & goto_last_folder
