Hi, my device responds when I click an on screen button such as play, cue, headphones etc but the other way around there is no response. So the play, cue, headphone buttons etc on my device have no effect. Help... So when I click the play button in the software, the device play button lights up and the song plays but when I press pause on the device nothing happens - song keeps playing and the play light stays illuminated. Thanks for your help.

Please do the following, in order to provide us some data that will help us see what is wrong.....
- Open VirtualDJ, goto Settings-->OPTIONS tab
- change the CreateMidiLog setting to Yes
- close VirtualDJ
- Make sure the controller is connected
- open VirtualDj and close again.
- post here the content of the file Log Report.txt you will find in /Documents/VirtualDJ folder.

I appreciate your help but unfortunately neither version has helped. My device still doesn't have any effect. The device still responds to the software but not the other way around.

I did notice that among your USB devices you have a Logitech webcam. That could possibly be creating an issue.
Often, the webcam installation procedure will modify the Windows registry in a way which affects other USB devices. You could try uninstalling the webcam, then reinstall it (if you really need/use it) after you've got the controller working - by reinstalling drivers for that, if it has any.

I think the device must be faulty because I have just downloaded VDJ8 on another computer and tried the device... same problem.

and just to be clear, by "next" i mean the next Early Access build (currently 3471), so any build later to that.
But if you still need to have your controller working, i gave you a workaround.
