How do I get to add this to a button???
similar to this: search '`get_browsed_artist`'
getting this:
sampler_group_volume, skin_panelgroup etc.
Theres nothing in the documentation or the wiki (http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/VDJscript_verbs_v8..html)
Is this not possible at this time??

There is no script for that, the only time saver I can offer is... mark all the files you want to tag to a specific group a specific colour [one you haven't used elsewhere] then once you've finished colouring, recurse the database, order the files by colour select all the files that are the specific colour and then tag them all in one go.

If you are trying to search based on the "grouping" field, in theory, you could use..
search '`get_browsed_song "grouping"`'
but since there is no option for Search to search within the Grouping field, you will not get the expected results.
As for VDJ script actions for any database field, you can use ..
get_browsed_song "fieldname"
or
get_loaded_song "fieldname"
search '`get_browsed_song "grouping"`'
