What are the specs of your machine? processor, video card? Ram? how are you outputting to monitor? via HDMI? to a monitor or projector? where did the files come from? did you make them or download them? what version of VDJ are you running? lots more info needed unless you want us all to just guess.

Sounds like a version 7 codec issue. I thought all those problems were gone a long time ago.
