Hey all,
So I've used VDJ for years and went from time code cds to controllers over the years. I was wondering that my Numark Mixtrack Pro doesn't seem to work as well. Issues with effects such as Flanger. Is there a newer controller that works well with VDJ8? The adverts for the mixtrack Pro 3 seem to favor Serrato. is that just advertising or does it work fine with VDJ?

Issues with effects will be a VDJ configuration problem. Changing controller won't sort this.

It could be that the knob on your "old" controller is getting worn out, dust and wear, or bad build quality.
So getting a new controller could definitively fix that (alternatively try blow out dust and clean the current controller).
It should work as well on the controller as using the flanger effect with mouse/keyboard. If it does not, your controller is probably broken, or worn out.Low-end controllers might not last forever with heavy use.
If it sounds same with mouse/keyboard, perhaps the flanger effect is not as you want it (sometimes flanger can be a bit "metallic", using filter instead is perhaps a better fx to use sometimes) . You can for example try other effects here : https://www.virtualdj.com/plugins/index.html?category=effects
And this flanger for example : https://www.virtualdj.com/plugins/index.html?addonid=2050
Almost all controllers out there work fine with VDJ, including Mixtrack Pro 3.
Can look for inspiration here, so many good controllers out :
