Sujet how do you get the search bar or needle drop function to work?

using ns7iii did a new install on a laptop...the strip search function is not working properly, how can i resolve this?

Most mappers require you to have shift pressed (or equivalent) if the track is playing with the volume up for security reasons.

This can easily be changed, the key is STRIPSEARCH and you need to simply change to song_pos to make it work all the time.

ok the problem im having is..... it functions properly until a cue point it set then i cant use the shift or even a mouse in the softwear to move thru the track

I saw your post in the Skins Forum - which is OK, i hope the Author fixes.

But you should still be able to use the controller to do a track search. For security reasons (to avoid skipping the track while playing live, we made the Needle Search not working when the track is audible.
If the track is not audible (the Volume fader is down), you should be able to use the Needle Search on the controller to search through the track.
If the track is audible, then using SHIFT(on the controller) + Needle Search (on the Controller) should still work.
