Sujet more EA video issues? [solved]

opened virtualdj
set video source to None
set video effect to FPS
changed font to make it large enough to see and had same screen weirdness in video output and then browser started looking like this:



mousing over it redraws but then goes back to blank and scrambled when cursor is not over browser area.

from bad to worse.

all it takes is activating FPS plugin then changing the font to make it large enough to be seen

the FPS plugin is a user-made plugin that is 7 years old.
It's possible that something is not compatible with the newest systems, and that it has a bug that didn't show before.
(though we can't reproduce the problem you described here)

might be one of those lost causes then.
deleted plugin.

now to go try and track down the other one that made it hang..

The FPS plugin was converted to VDJ8 just before 8 came out around 2014 or whenever, by an Atomix employee. There is a thread on it but don't wish to revisit it. I mentioned back then it should not even be in the plugin list because it can cause problems. Was fine for some development cases but that's all.
