Is it possible to map a button that turns on video but as “preview only”??

You mean just open Video Engine and see Output on skin, but not on any other Window or Screen ?
For this case, you need to use video_output off and video_output on to leave video engine running but turn off/on all video windows.
So before loading any track, you can use... video & video_output off to enable video engine but not open any Video output windows and later you can use video_output on to turn those back on.
Or have a button to toggle.

Yeah that’s what I’m talking, just didn’t know how to explain it exactly.
