1- Create a custom button with this simple script: "karaoke"
2- Keep/Select default INTERNAL "for karaoke - karaoke" skin as "Singer List Display"
3- enter some tracks in KARAOKE list
4- Play another track not activating karaoke
5- Activate the new button OUT of karaoke mode
you get the list on screen and useVideoSkin is activated and track is playing and Home users get the logo top right and small
everythig is fine
NOW
1- click "edit video karaoke skin..." & exit immediately
2- Select EXTERNAL "for karaoke - karaoke (edit)" or any other skin as "Singer List Display"
3- desactivate the new button
4- Play another track not activating karaoke
5- Activate the new button OUT of karaoke mode
useVideoSkin is activated and track is playing and Home users get the logo top right and small
Fine "Home users" get a smaller logo !!
It appears NON edited external skin DOES NOT act the same way the internal one do
BUT WHY NOT to go deeper in this issue ? sure this one will catch you attention
1- At edit time in karaoke.xml go to bottom
2- line 194 replace '<pos x="1920-32-172" y="32"/>'
with '<pos x="1920-32-172" y="-43"/>'
try again the new button
useVideoSkin is activated and track is playing and Home users get NO MORE VDJ LOGO !!!
IN ORDER TO FIX THE FIRST ISSUE :
REPLACE line 7: '<panel visibility="karaoke ? is_karaoke_idle ? automix_skip 'pos' : false : false">'
WITH line 7: '<panel visibility="is_karaoke_idle ? automix_skip 'pos' : false : false">'
in fact as the skin will only activate when karaoke is activate, it will work normally
and when 'karaoke' verb is call even karaoke is off the skin have to show because it is the reason this verb exists!
ALL existing karaoke skins HAVE TO BE FIX in a way to be usable
FREE TO YOU TO FIX THE SECOND ONE
even i love this one, the correct way would be to keep the MAIN VDJ logo in place for HOME users even during karaoke
Note this bug affects some video effects too, but tiny logo stay visible anyway
