If I have two 2-channel controllers with their own crossfaders (so crossfader A controls channels 1 & 2, and crossfader B controls 3 & 4), can I do the following:
When crossfader A is set to the left, only channel 1 plays, and when it is set to the right, only channel 2 plays. When crossfader B is set to the left, only channel 3 plays, and when it is set to the right only channel 4 plays?

"When crossfader A is set to the left, only channel 1 plays ..." What about the position of crossfader B ??
"When crossfader B is set to the left, only channel 3 plays ..." What about the position of crossfader A ??
When crossfader A is set to the left and crossfader B is set to the left too, which one have to play ?? 1 or 3 or both ?
When crossfader A is set to the left and crossfader B is set to the right, which one have to play ?? 1 or 4 or both ?
be more precise
However the answer to your question is "yes" whatever you really want, because all of this is customisable by user via config, VDJ Script / Mapping
You'll also need at least a controller license to use the controllers more than 10mins

There is only 1 crossfader in VirtualDJ, so you will have to assign the crossfader of the controllers to control the deck Volumes.
Controller 1 (decks 1 & 2 ) Crossfader assigned as .. deck 1 volume & param_invert & deck 2 volume
Controller 2 (decks 3 & 4) Crossfader assigned as .. deck 3 volume & param_invert & deck 4 volume
If that works for you, you may also need to delete the actions assigned to Mixer Deck Volumes (so that they dont conflict with the crossfader) and make sure the CF Assigns are the default (Decks 1 and 3 as Left and Decks 2 and 4 as Right)
