Is there any professional effects you can buy and use with vdj, since it's open source? Any good suggestions? Thanks

open sauce, huh? If you want effects look to vsts.

VDJ and most of the addons are not open source, shaders are one exception.
I regard VDJ as very important software..and well worth buying.
Mixxx is an inferior open source alternative.
Some open source software is very good such as Audacity.

I don't think OP wants sauce code, I think he means vdj permits vst use and is looking for vsts.

It's the same sort of thing..a lot of the vst's are freeware but not open source. It's about generally appreciating the ownership and usage of code. Some freeware which is not open source will be very good.
He does not seem to understand what open source means.

Atomix own the copyrights on VDJ2018 source code and their software is called proprietary as opposed to open source.

This is a very basic point that all should understand.

Open as in it doesn't restrict you to the built in effects like most of the competition. :-)

I'd vote for that interpretation.

okm , what is it you want to add to the software? I had tons of extras that i had either bought or got for free vst. The issue is in virtual dj 2020 its 64 based and most of them were 32 bit. In saying that the stems and extras made it off the chart as is . I would like to add some more addons to fill buttons. Im into trying new ideas
