Quick question guys, im using virtual dj pro and a pioneer sb2 controller, every so often the headphone volume seems to not work properly. I use my headphones for mixing but sometimes have to turn it to the max to be able to get some sound, headphones are working fine. Any suggestions why this would be?

go into settings , select audio on the left side. under outputs whats the head phone settings , i have mine set to ddj-sx channel (wasapi} 3&4 with 44.1k21 ms 4, if i went through asio they had that issue
