Sujet DELL issues with VDJ

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I was having issues with my new DELL G3, with 1-2 secs of silence every 30 mins or so. I posted about a month ago - at least two other DJs in Ottawa with Dells had this issue. Go notification TODAY from Dell saying it was an internal algorithm that was causing it. New firmware update from Dell released TODAY apparently fixes the problem. Of course, I had just returned my Dell, so FML....

Yes, Dell laptops are rubbish for audio. I got a brand new XPS 13 2-in-1 and the latency was horrific.

Replaced it with a Lenovo C940 and it's perfect.

Dell are a nightmare.

Dell has always been fine for me, just make sure to remove the dell tools.

What would those Dell tools be?

The latency issues I had were caused by bad drivers, not tools.

No issues with Dell. Since 2011. Check your drivers.

Good luck.

Have had no problems with Dell (laptops) for the last 14 years. Dell uses Realtek chips for audio (for the most part anyways) as many other laptops, so any issues would be likely related to drivers as already stated by others.

What drivers are you using now?

I sent the laptop back and replaced it with the Lenovo.

The main cause is usually badly implemented wifi drivers, but with Dell it can be pretty much anything.
