I use automix settings of Type = Automix fade (Remove Silence) and Length = 0s for an internet radio station. This works well but once automix is running if I change the track following the one that is currently playing with another track the transition of the track that is currently playing is cut short and does to reach the endpoint. You can see this happen if you look at the transition before you swap the track (in automix editor), then swap the track following the one that is playing and look again in the automix editor, you willl see end of the track currently playing has been cut short. I thought this was a one-off but think it's a bug.
