It'd be very handy to be able to mark threads containing questions or issues as solved. It could be as simple as a button for the author that will edit the thread's title to add "(solved)" at the end.

Some times mods will mark a topic as solved in the title, other times the thread might be open-ended or have a few different people asking questions so marking as "solved" wouldn't really fit.

I know, but i have like half a dozen threads that are definitely "solved" where there's a definitive answer. If someone in 3 years has a problem related to the thread they might necropost, but i'm not even proposing that an OP can lock their own threads.
