My Rane 72 just started doing this recently. I had not used it in over a month, and so a VDJ update during that time may be causing this.
1. Load a track on a channel (say channel 1)
2. Let that track play to the master out
3. Load a track on the other channel (say channel 2)
4. Start playing the track with the channel 2 upfader closed. and I don't see any movement in the channel 2 LEDs
5. Press the cue for channel 2 and nothing comes through the headphones
6. Open the channel 2 upfader, and nothing happens. crossfader is still closed to play channel 1
7. Open the crossfader and boom! The signal is flowing like is should. But notice, I am not able to hear anything on channel 2 cue until I open the channel to the house. This obviously defeats the purpose of the cue.
I have tried:
1. already disabled all the auto cueing
2. tried using split cue, and nothing
3. looked at my audio settings (see below) and they look the same as been before
4. tried both USB A and B, and nothing changed
5. Loaded Serato DJ and everything works as expected (so I don't think this is a firmware or hardware issue)
My Rane 72 is the first generation and has V 1.6.0.47 loaded. I have VDJ 8.5-64 b64444
