HI can anybody help. I have just downloaded the 2021 VDJ as previously used VDJ8 but the volume sliders and crossfaders are just not reacting / working . The levels are coming through ok to my mixer but the crossfader on the skin is not switching between channels and the crossfader is not working either.

what is your current audio setup?
And using any hardware?
The crossfader can in also have "thru" for decks, but odd if its turned on without you knowing it
(aka crossfader assign, typically A - Thru - B at each channel if hardware)
Also look in setting what crossfader curve is set at

Where will I find this (thru) to turn on and off ?? I cant seem to find that.

It's really difficult to get the crossfader assignment visible now
1) only usable from "pro" layout
2) only visible in any of the 4 decks mode
3) only activable from full 4 decks (not from 2+2)
4) needs to manually select from crossfader menu (central cog under sampler ^^)
5) then tiny squares left & right of crossfader can be used to select deck
when a deck is not left and not right of crossfader, it is considered as "pass thru" (always on)
by default 1&3 are left and 2&4 are right (maybe change depending on mix mode can be 1234 3124 or 1342 but not sure) this resets upon restarts

Is there any other software programs out there I could buy where the crossfaders will work normally ?
I have been informed by someone at VDJ (Jimmy) that my mixer Allen & Heath 43C is very limited and points towards this as the main problem.
I spent a lot of money on that mixer and it worked fine on Virtual DJ Pro and Virtual Dj8
I can't afford to just go out and buy another mixer now due to this update on VDJ so my only option might be to turn to some other DJ software for mixing my videos and MP3s.
Can anybody recommend some decent software ?
