Does someone know why using the loop effect with my Hercules dj Starlight, what I hear is just a horrible noise such like a1/256 loop beat interval?

What exactly do you mean by "loop effect" ? And how do you trigger from the Starlight ?
Is it some Pads mode ? Which one ? https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/hercules/starlight/pads.html

Thank you very much! with your instructions I've understood I had to go in the the mapping menu to set the correct value for the loop pad from 1 to 4!!
