Hello, I am using a controller (it is the Roland DJ 808, but I don't think it really matters). Holding the load button for more than a second is supposed to unload a song from a deck, however, that doesn't seem to work. Are there other ways to do this? Perhaps directly in VDJ?

I could be wrong but doesnt look like its mapped that way
You can try change the LOAD entry in the mapper (search at bottom of the mapper section).
And change the entry to holding 1000ms ? unload : load

Indeed the default mapping was changed at some point and the LOAD buttons offer Clone when double-clicked. Manual is updated.
If you still need to unload while holding, use the script above.
