I can not download videos from Xtendamix while I have Virual DJ open. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it something that I am doing/not doing or is it my hardware?

I dont see why.
Is Windows using same sound card perhaps ? and sound card is already in use by VirtualDJ, and you can not playback the audio inside the web browser?
Not that it should prevent download, but try make sure Windows used PC default sound card, and see if the browser behave better
