Settings have been set up and never changed. Always showed midi 8 0ut. Now as per the photo it changed to midi 4out. No driver updates, panel on front is set to 8 out.
Any suggestions as to how this can be remedied please?

Yes, settings are correct. Front of the panel on controller is set to 8 out.
But in the Asio setting is shows 4 out. I cannot get that to change to 8 out.
Also backup system works .
Heard something about WASAP. Should the sound be changed to this instead of ASIO?

if the switch on the hardware is not functioning sounds like you need to consult American Audio's help :-)
wapsi is just another type of audio driver it wont help if the switch is broken.

Don't believe it's the switch as backup works. Just cannot get the midi to show 8 out.
