When loading a new song on the latest version it becomes way louder than what's playing, wasnt an issue in the previous version only noticing it now.

which version?
No issue here, with version 7482
and first 2 things to check:
1) setting autoGain is auto
2) loading new tracks from online sources, one needs to wait till the track as fully loaded and analyzed (for gain), before playing.
(if played to quickly, one will notice the gain/trim software knob NOT at 50%, almost always higher)
