Trying to setup backup PC
Dell Latitude 5520 i5
11th gen Intel (R)
16 Gig Ram
2 x m.2 4Tb
Windows 11 pro

The PC standalone with virtualDJ works fine but soon as I plug the controller in and go to PC mode it no longer does the automix slider it just stays to one side it seems to transition the audio but not video even when set to smart or linked the P2 controller and screen is fully functional. I've tried all sorts of combinations in settings to no avail.

The default mode for Automix is indeed on a single Deck. Can be changed to Dual deck mode from Settings ->OPTIONS -> AutomixDualDeck setting, but advised not to.
As for your issues on Single-Deck mode...
Is your crossfader at the correct Deck side ? Video Crossfader should be in Smart or Link
What Video Transition have you selected ?

Yes I think the dual deck is my problem but this works perfectly fine on my MSI i9 PC
