Sujet Scratching....
Hello does anyone know why whenever I'm scratching on the bass off some songs it doesn't sound that good like the quality of the songs but they songs have good quality? Do I need to go in the software and do some kinda adjustments? Does this have anything to do with latency?

Don't scratch with bass on, that's like the first rule of scratching.

What controller? whats the audio setting? whats the reading of virtualDJs usage meter CPU and audio reading? But based on the CPU alone I wouldn't use that lappy for anything other than web browsing.

Djratedxxx919 I have the ddj 400. I use the the soundcard that's built in it. What's wrong with my pc? It goes pretty fast but sometimes the songs lags. I just play around with the latency and that helps. What are some tips to help improve the performance of it?

Hey /locodog do I turn the bass all the way off while scratching over a bass drum or what?

generally you attenuate the bass for all scratching, doesn't have to be a full kill but a pretty strong cut
it's the bass that really drives the signal strength, fast movement can really up the velocity which is likely to pump the limiter, analogue days you also cut the bass to reduce hand to surface noise but that doesn't apply digitally.

there are ways not to cut the bass but you must have a pretty tight limiting compression maximising scheme going on.

I was thinking creating a shortcut on one of the pads to turn down (toggle) the bass knob while scratching. How can this shortcut be created? Do you guys have a easier faster way on how this can be done? I think it would be better than turning the knob up and down.
