I know there is A LOT of personal opinion and preferences here, but this is a general question. I currently have a DENON MC4000 controller and considering upgrading to a better unit. I've had my eye on the Denon Prime 4+4 and also the RANE 4 controller. I'm not sure if I'd ever use the controller as a stand-alone unit, so I was curious. I do a few clubs, private parties, a year and I DJ a car show monthly.
Other than that, is there a general consensus as to which you might advise as the better unit?

If you don't need standalone then the Rane is the better choice. It's rock solid.
