Don't get me wrong VirtualDj is a really nice piece of software for performance, hardware compatibility and versatility with its customization.
But is DJing only performance ? Finding the good tracks and searching for transition/mashups is almost half+ the time spent on the software.
That is why i am sharing my thoughts on this point : Automatic/Predefined Remix points
The way i am digging my track is by listening and creating playlist within the different cloud providers i am part of.
But then i am hopping to jump on my favorite software and ask him to do the job of analyzing these songs/playlist and do a good job to prepare these tracks for me so that i can jump on different part of the track to identify what's good or not and where is the best time to mix.
And for that i need my software to separate my track into parts/phrases and set them to my remix/cue points so that i can use my hardware to play with it.
For now it does not work efficiently and i need to do custom scripted buttons to do that by section, or script/grab some automix points or seeking the whole track or use an external software.
These cue/remix points enhance creativity, ease of digging, understanding of your tracks and even save your butt.
Please add/optimize the automatic structure of song for remix points so that at least 90% of tracks have there point set on the go after analyzing the track with Intro/Outro boundaries, Verse-Chorus-Verse-Chorus (V-C-V-C) structures, Bridge or interlude sections.
