I’m a paid Script subscription user and I’m hoping someone from the team or the community can help, as VirtualDJ has been unusable on my system for several months now.
On a clean install, VirtualDJ launches but hangs indefinitely at the Connect/Login screen. The UI loads, but the application never completes startup and becomes effectively frozen. No configuration folder is created and the software cannot be used.
Important details:
The hang occurs before %AppData%\VirtualDJ is created
settings.xml is never written
Reinstalling VirtualDJ (including latest builds) does not resolve it
The issue persists after reboots and clean reinstalls
Troubleshooting already attempted:
Full uninstall and reinstall of VirtualDJ
NVIDIA overlay disabled (Alt+Z no longer appears)
NVIDIA drivers updated and system rebooted
Running VirtualDJ as Administrator
Launching with no audio interfaces or controllers connected
Attempting offline launch (no network)
Checking for corrupt user settings (none exist, as config folder is never created)
Verifying Edge / WebView dependencies (installer reports WebView2 as installed, but it does not appear in Programs & Features)
Despite all of this, VirtualDJ consistently hangs at startup and never reaches a usable state.
