Subject: Feature Request: Traktor-style Sync & Master Clock Option for Traktor Migrators
Hello VirtualDJ Team and Community,
First of all, I want to say that I truly love VirtualDJ. It’s an incredible software with amazing capabilities, and many of us have made the switch from Traktor Pro to VirtualDJ because we believe in what you are building.
However, as DJs who spent years on Traktor, we are facing a bit of a learning curve when it comes to workflow habits. In Traktor, things like syncing and phase/beat-matching behavior work instantly with a single touch, linking everything together seamlessly without requiring custom scripts or complex workarounds.
We love VirtualDJ and we definitely don’t want to change or break anything that loyal, long-time VirtualDJ users are already used to. But we kindly ask you to consider the large community of DJs migrating from Traktor.
Our simple suggestion is this:
Could you please add an option or toggle switch in the settings (ON/OFF) that allows us to enable a Traktor-style continuous sync and master clock logic?
By keeping the default settings exactly as they are for current VirtualDJ users, you preserve the software's identity. But by adding this toggle in the options, you would make us—and many others coming from Traktor—feel completely at home.
