No you can't, because in Java you can't create dll's. If you want me to, I can create an Object Oriented C++ framework for the effects...

Yeah, Java is the only language I "know" (well, am learning anyways)....
I think it would probably be far too slow to have effects running in the JVM, anyways.. maybe natively compiled java.
