got some quesitons:
1. i got a beat of a snare/bass and looped it and then i dropped
tracks on it, and beatmixed them, and had them playing until i
faded them out, and dropped another track on and 'braked em out' etc.
but inevitably i wanted to put 1 track on that had to be slowed downb
to 77.4 its pitch to match my breakbeat loop. and the song would
be slow and sound pretty crappy. alternatively i could've kept the song
at its original tempo and not touched it, but then had to have slowed down
the loop itself or [sped it up] to 68 pitch or 127 to match the track. i was thinking of just
cutting out the entire song togheter, but its such a killer track i just couldn't.
how woudl you other dj's go about solving this problem. i mean, if i was
playing live i wouldn't wanna do such a drastic tempo change, especiallly
live in front of the crowd... that wouldn't be good? or woudl it? i'm not
sure .. tell me what you think.. dj homeboy/ mind you this is rnb/rap im
mixing. i mean generally, if you've got to speed up song up from 100 say to about 105 or something
for beatmixing it, you really shouldn't slow or change it back to its original tempo
afte you've finished the transition because it would sound awful loud .... or...?
2. also, homeboy what effective breakbeats or samples have you found to be
of good use on the net for rnb/rap mixing? could u direct me to some sites.
3. how do i store/save and play the cue points in atomix?
4. is there any way in atomix to preview a beatmix or a cue before you play it. i.e.
hear it on headphones, whilst other song is playing? or something like that>
