Hey,
who knows a good trick to keep a track with a variable BPM together with another track?
I want to mix this great techno track but it has a variable BPM.
So what should I do???? And please don't answer with "pick another track" cos I really want to mix this one properly and smooth.

Try using the nudge shortcuts to keep it in sync or record it in pieces and then beat mix it together...

figure out the BPM of the portion of the track where you want to make the mix, and find a song that matches up well with that section....

Maybe I should try the Manual BPM tap, it should work.

I am a atomix user since version 1.2 and now i'm using version 2.2..... and i have no trouble with any song that i was play althuogh it has variable bpm. I was disable all auto features, and using manual way to beat match and anything.And it more easy than using automix or magic.... more accurate and don't forget to reset keyboard shortcut.... and using nudge to match ......

just trust your ears and nudge it using also the small + and - for the bpm slider.In freaking moments use magik.:)

The manual BPM TAP works good for me.It never fails once yu know at what point to cue your song.
