Hi all,
When i use the option "auto-split on crossfader" when recording a session, the files have a silence gap between them. It's anoying when listening to the whole session. I think this issue "auto-split on crossfader" is very usefull as you doesn't need to edit the session to make the traks but this silence gap is disturbing.
Does anyone how i can solve this (editing each file is worst than editing files in a whole session) or is it just a bug of the program?
I'm using HDJC MK2 for this.
Thanks

this is more a bug in the filesystem.
I believe you are recording your mixes in mp3. the problem with mp3 is that it always needs a silence gap in the beginning and in the end, unlike ogg files, that's why VirtualDJ changed it's sample record filesystem.
If you try to record in wave you shouldn't have this gap problem.

For me it's good to REC only one big file in mp3 but with the relative cue file linked to the crossfader to burn in a audio cd with the track separated.

Hi
How do you do this:
Record one big MP3 file (this part i know ), but when it comes to burning to CD, enable the different tracks you mixed to have their own track number when played back on a CD player ( like with the mix cd's you buy in the shops ).
Thanks

Yes, like with the mix cd's if I you wanna burn the cd or if you use winamp to play your mp3s there is a cue plug-in to listen separeted track of one big file.

You trying to burn to cd or just listen on your own pc? Lej78... is right about the wave format but if you wanna burn to cd you can use nero and remove the silence from the tracks

With cue file you can burn your cd or listen on PC with winamp plug-in without any sound pause.
