I don't like it, really a simple copy of a mixvibes skin.

Please be creative !!!
 
hmmm.... if thats the general opinion, I will discontinue making that skin.... sad to hear....

if mixvibes got a hercules skin, cool... but what does that have to do about VDJ skins...

Creative? killing my effort after first day.....????

hmm... guess a hercules skin is not wanted.... :(

Update - COMPLETELY changed the look!!

My first layout was inspired by MixVibes skin, but now I have gone away from that, and made a more calm blue look...

Better but stilla copy of the mixvibes one.

You only take the zipfiles from the website.


They 'll says that we only copie there job :-(

We need original layout, with original artwork.
 
All skins are made of same photos....
So a CDJ800 skin, for example, would look a lot like the same in different dj programs...

and even more, there is a new TRAKTOR skin for VDJ right now, making VDJ look like Traktor ;) so skins are often "copies" of other skins, and even some of VDJ skins are copies of other VDJ skins... thats that! :)

And really, I could easily make a skin make VDJ look like Mixvibes, PCDJ or any other thing..
Skins are just for looks anyway... for fun and personal preferences...


So - If u dont like it, dont use it! :) Right now I'm using the Traktor skin, just because I've used Traktor before... FUN! Love it... hehe. You might wanna try that one...

i just thought.. "i don't really need to see the buttons i already have on my console.. i don't really need the play button or the auto-beat" the only things i need is the graph on the top and the buttons and sliders to do what i CANNOT do with my console.. and sure leds and indicators and sliders to have a visual feedback

it would be a cool approach to a new kind of skin

remove the unuseful stuff, and make more space for playlist, browser, etc

dont you like this idea?

A minimalistic skin, with more space could be cool...

As there is a possibility to hide things with the "pannel" option in skins now, I think there are going to be more and more skins where advanced features can be hidden when pushing a button etc.

I see your point, sometimes it would be great to have just a simple skin, showing the basics :)

 
 
Looks great, but I think I personally would prefer greater contrast in the song/database part...

I kinda put the whole skin-project on hold, beeing lot of work... really a lot more than I thought it would be. And having VDJ team making theire own console skin, I kinda thought it would not be wanted/needed anymore...

But really glad for a few of the feedback here lately, so I've desided to finish it ... :)

Sorry, can't send you an e-mail Marco, it's only for full registered users :) but look in skin section in a weeks time.. Hopefully finished by then...

Got some XML programming left, so I'm gonna bug Speedland and Fruit in the near future... LOL :)
