where is the best place to buy used hardware that would work with VDJ pro?
as in cheapest but yet a good buy? for the tight budget dj
what to look for in equipment? like replaceable crossfaders? etc?
just looking for opinions from other dj's, what to look for, and what to stay away from? etc...

Cheap but good...
Hmm.. Guess some used Hercules controllers are up for sale now, even XP10.
A good not to expensive solution, is also getting some used turntables and timecode vinyls.
External mixers used should have replaceable crossfaders if you scratch a lot.
Go for known brands, they are build more solid, and last longer

Time code vinyls should be bought new. You wouldn't get a pair with scratches on...
Controllers could be found on e-bay (or other second hand shop), Hercules, DVinyl or xp-10s.
But the Hercules buttons are not that good especially not the ones from the first release. So xp10 or dvinyl would be a good option.

Hercules MK2 buttons are damn good, super responsive ;)
(not at all like the first mk1 version)

I do not have used or tested the mk2, but he was looking for used equipment. Are there already some mk2 versions of the Hercules dj console available second hand?
On the other hand, the dj console is relatively cheap, so buying a new one is not that hard
