Sujet Music Volume Folder Listing discrepancy !?!? HELP...

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I structure my music by using folder listing by Volumes, eg.

Volume 1
Volume 2
Volume 3
Volume 4
etc...........

however, once I exceed Volume 10, it discards the 2nd char in sorting the name. meaning it looks like this:

Volume 1
Volume 10
Volume 11
Volume 12
Volume 13
Volume 14
Volume 2
Volume 3
Volume 4
Volume 5
Volume 6
Volume 7
etc.......

Is it possible to re-configure VDJ to accept both numbers when sorting instead of using only the 1st char.
THNX!!!

Hi,

I do the same, except I use 01, 02... This takes care of that. By default windows sorts 1, and 10 in order, this is the only I have found around it.

-Hope that helps, Dj Los

If renaming lots of files and/or folders, may I suggest "FLASH RENAMER"... I use this little proggy to rename and correct a lot of things, not bad for $20!

Yes,

Use 01, 02, 03, 04, ... with the 0.

If you rename files/folders from within VDJ it automatically adapts the database, so you don't have to rescan your files and won't loose you cues. (when renaming file)

Might want to start with "001"... Otherwise, once you hit "100" you will be in the same boat... 100 will end up showing up right after 10...

you don't want:

09
10
100
101
102
103
104
105
106
107
108
109
11
110
111

etc...

Of course nobody will EVER go over 99... right? Just like in the 80's when they said "nobody will ever need more than 640K of RAM for their computers... yeah, sure...
