Sorry to bump this thread.. but the best sharing site out there now is MixCloud.com not soundcloud:

- Unlimited uploads (max per upload 100 mb)
- Enter your tracklist and set the time markers, player will follow the progress of your mix
- !!!!ITS LEGAL!!!! Artist get payed by the tracklist you provide, just like radio
- Social environment, following users, commenting etc etc and many promotion options
- iPhone player app

And no I am not getting payed by them, but they are just doing great!

hi

just wanted to share, there's a great community out there, called Tribalmixes - http://www.tribalmixes.com - and it's all about music, dj mixes and club mixes. there're alot of homegrown djs, bedroom djs and laptop djs, all of them share their mixes, alongside with famous djs promos and radio shows that are posted as well. the difference from the methods listed in this thread is that torrents are used torrents at tribalmixes. with a large growing community of over 50k members, every beginner DJ will find their audience, every genre is demanded, every mix is heard, rated and commented upon. the website is strongly supported by hundreds of djs worldwide, who bring their new demos and promos to share on tribalmixes. thus there's alot of material to help one learn how to dj by an example. sometimes DJ contests are held at tribalmixes, like 4 years running International DJing Competition, with up to a 100 DJs participating. if you're serious about being a DJ - check out tribalmixes.com.

ps. there's also a great text on the front page with 11 reasons "Why torrents are better than direct downloads", highly recommended! =)

Wow great list guys, more than enough these days. I remember the days of only 1 or 2 available.

Being that there are so many great services available for streaming and hosting music mydjspace decided to create a feature that consolidates some of the best and most popular together into one single place.
The Mydjspace music player has been re-wired to handle Soundcloud, Mixcloud and Podomatic accounts which means by simply pasting a link you can now embed players from all those services directly on your Mydjspace profile.

You can check out this profile here to see what i mean..

anyone interested in uploading onto the radio podcast format? perhaps you guys could try Mixcloud (www.mixcloud.com). it comes with cool yet simple interface, so wouldn't make you busy to find their features. it also features tracklist that directly connected to Amazon, iTunes, and Juno Download if you'd like to buy the track that've been uploaded by DJs.

don't forget to also follow me on Mixcloud, http://www.mixcloud.com/missriboet/ there i uploaded my Beat Legacy series that consist of UK bass tracks. :)

by the ways, this is my first post, though. cheers from Indon!

[MP3 download link removed - Please use a service such as MixCloud. This forum is also for mixes that you have made using VirtualDJ]
My new dj set bringing you a summer feeling through my music compilation.
Grab your copy as this link contains a free download link.
There will be also a youtube upload later this week ;)
CHEERS!!
Even though i didn't used Dj software at all i thought it would be a good idea to present it to the virtual dj community. Support my work people;))

I wouldn't even try downloading this. Use the regular sites like mixcloud or soundcloud if you like to share your mixes instead. Those are trusted, pay royalties etc etc.

I use soundcloud but you can also use Tindeck, Grooveshark, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify (You have to request to be an artist for this) and Bandcamp... Sendspace is pretty good too.

After you upload on soundcloud, you can edit the preferences for your track and you can change it from streaming to download and back again at any time.

My first attempt with this genre so it's far from perfection but I hope you'll find ways to enjoy it nonetheless.

So grab your martinis, sit back, relax and go deep.

Here is also a big list (up-to-date) of sites where every independent musician can upload, publish, sell, buy, or just share music and songs with the whole world: http://uploadfor.com

The sites that I use to upload, share, and allow for downloading are below and I will give the reasons why. Also, both of these sites are 100% FREE!

https://www.mixcloud.com

I use mixcloud to upload my mixes for people to listen and share with their friends. One of the benefits of this site are that you are able to add a track list to all of your uploads which allows your listeners to know what song is being played and allows them to go to a external site to purchase the various tracks if they like them. The second reason I like this site is because they do not have a upload limit. You can upload as many mixes as as you want and the mixes can be as long as you want them to be. The third reason I like Mixcloud is because I do not have to worry about my mixes getting taken down. Mixcloud actually pays royalties to the various artists that are in each mix that you upload so that there are no issues with record companies.

You can check out one of my mixes on Mixcloud here: https://www.mixcloud.com/DJG5/dubstep-mix-4/

https://bandcamp.com

I use bandcamp to also upload my mixes but this site I use specifically to allow people to download the various mixes that I create and upload to Mixcloud. The first thing that I like about this site is that they allow people to not only download your mixes but you can set it up where people have the option to send you money to support what you are doing before the download your mixes. There is no limit to how many mixes or track that you can upload, however there is a slight limit on the files size. If you want your file size increased all you have to do is email them requesting to have you file upload limit increased.

You can check out my DJ mixes album on bandcamp here: https://dj-g.bandcamp.com/album/dj-mixes

If you have questions about these various sites, feel free to send me a direct message!

So you're selling other people's copyrighted material?

You should be very careful. If only one copyright owner discovers what you're doing, you could find yourself in serious trouble!
