my dj console doesnt have a headphone input but my computer does. only problem is, when i plug my headphones into my computer and try to hear the song thats cued up next i cant hear it. how do you get the headphones to work? and i want to also export this sound to my big yahmaha powered speakers. any advice is appreciated...thanks.

you won't be able to use headphones with your version of VDJ (which you get with DJConsole). You will have to buy PRO version, to do this go here.
And enable in your profie here on forum that you have DJC.

no,i have the console without internal soundcard too and i can preview my songs you need a 4.1 or 5.1 soundcard and they must be enabled on 5.1 set in windows multimediaconfigurations and enable 4.1 in vdj soundconfiguration
