i dont want to be a dj, just wanting to try my compositional dance music attempts being mixed with other dance music.
on my computer i will use virtual dj on.
it has the AUDIGY 2 value SOUNDBLASTER card. it has capabilities for 7.1 surround.
how on earth will i be able to hear the headphones to imagine i am a dj in a live situation
do these audigys come out with a breakout box or something for all the speakers,
but in my case to be able to hear sound from the headphones communicating with VIRTUAL DJ

No stupid questions my friend.
From the output of your soundcard you can use a Y splitter (an adaptor that looks like a Y with two outputs). Then from the now two outputs one goes to your stereo and the other to your headphone. Another alternative is to buy an external mixer. Then the soundcard output goes to the mixer and you use the headphones through the mixer. Good luck and hope to see you as a full user.

actaully i have noticed that my soundblaster live has 3 stereo outputs. green black and yellow
i guess to allow at least 5.5 surround.
does the virtual dj assign both the stereo outs and the headphone outs to either of the three stereo outputs.
i guess i have to muck around in the windows control panel as well for this to happen.

Not sure about the details of your soundcard. In the method I mentioned, you will be hearing mono sound through the speakers and headphones. Most clubs are mono and you really won't notice a difference.

I would say that a lot of clubs are running mono, but my club is in stereo. But that is another subject. Demo users cannot get headphone functions, in VDJ.
