Boy, some people really do take their chosen platform WAY too seriously! Yeah, PCs aren't perfect, and Windows is certainly not without it's faults. However, going down the PC route means I can build my own system to my own specifications, rather than an off-the-shelf product. OK, this arguement falls apart in the case of laptops, but my main DJ console is based around a homemade PC system in a custom box. In this instance, a Mac just isn't even an option.
The hardware's cheaper, there's more software available, and when it gets a bit old and clunky, it can be upgraded. Maybe I'll give Mac OS a go when a) VDJ is available on Mac, and b) the Mac OS can be installed on a conventional PC, a la Bootcamp....
Well, that's my penny's worth thrown in, I'll be backing out of the room now before it gets nasty... :-)

I think ConQuest has posted more in this thread than I have in my last 100 or so posts, at least I try to help people rather than resort to petty namecalling..
This isn't deserved of a ban or at least a formal warning? It's not that he was provoked in any way.

For real though, philly, you're so silly. But it's all good. I've always wanted to take out some time and help the mentally disabled, and now I have.
Now hurry up or you'll miss your short, little yellow bus... don't forget your helmet.

yeah....
Lets try to keep this war threar of PC vs MAC on a profesional level, without name calling.. :)
It makes the arguments on both "sides" more interesting and adult.
If it turns ugly, we'll have to close the thread...
No need for personal wars over this subject :)
