I have a gig tomorrow afternoon and I am very tight on space for the setup (on board a boat)
Since i don't really know the dynamics of what happens on inside an amplifier... my question is whether or not it is okay for an amp to be run sideways... meaning on it's side. I dont have a rackmount yet so it's just gonna be up in between my setup and the wall. it'll be secure and with plenty of ventilation- but is it okay to have it on it's side and not flat?! bad for the amp?
ah! as fast as you can please! lol otherwise i need to be very creative lol

Having the amp sideways is no problem ;)
Just make sure it got clean space for air (let heat out).
do NOT use CD player (rack) sideways... that can lead to jamming of cds... ;)

I know it can be done. I used to have a crown xls 602 in a 2u rack and I could not get the cables from my mixer to reach unless it was on its side, It worked for about a year that way.
The not so good old days hahaha!!

Just be careful that the amplifier fluid doen't run out the side of the unit. ;-)
