To be exact, values 50 & 25 for the function skip_beat (as in loop which works as 1/2 & 1/4 of a beat).

Of course it does :) That's the whole point of this thread, shortcuts for 50 & 25 beat skip are useless, so why not have them reserved for 1/2 & 1/4.

If you don's use mouse, how will you go at the middle of song if there is no 50 beat skip shortcut? I am doing everything just with controllers and keyboard. And rather than spinning jog wheel of MK1, i just push a button on keyboard a few times and i am at the song position that i like. Then i use XP10 to get to the position that i exactly like.
25 and 50 beat skip are pretty useful for me. But I really don't understand why you would like to see beat skip 1/2 and 1/4. Can somebody explain to me why is this useful? I really don's see point in it because song sounds strange if you skip 1/2 or 1/4 beat.

I find 50 & 25 totally useless because it's common sense to use the 2^n logic (same as the music structure), so by mapping values 32 & 64 (or 24 & 48) rather than 50 & 25 to search through the song keeps you always on the "first beat", no matter how many times you skip. So no worries for resyncing the phase this way. For 4/4 tempo of course.
Regarding the usefulness of of 1/2 & 1/4 skip, don't ask me - don't need it, but some might find it useful obviously.

Actually you are right about this. 32 and 64 is better. And most of songs has 4/4 tempo. I just wanted to say that function for skip more than just a few beats is useful :)
