I have scanned all of my songs and there are times when I open VDJ and songs are now missing the information from scans. Any ideas?

Do you edit the songs at all?
The VDJ database identifies songs by their unique size (number of bytes.) If you make any changes, then the new file will be unrecognizeable to VDJ. VDJ will assume it is a new file and needs to be rescanned.
*Note that changing anything in the ID3 tag changes the filesize. You may be doing this manually, or maybe you use the song in another program that changes something in the ID3 tag.
