Is there a program available where one could import VDJ's database into and retain the BPM information? Can excel import VDJ's database xml file? Thanks.

Get a free XML editor.. Google ;)
And you can open the XML.
But not sure what for..
If you are looking for a different "music browser" there are plenty of free progs that are music collection databases, that support drag and drop, into VDJ decks

Norway, I'd like to catalog my MP3 collection WITH a BPM entry for each track. Right now, I use Listmaker to create a list of songs for any given music folder. It would be nice to have the BPM for each track included in this list. I don't want to manually input the BPM for each song. I was hoping there would be a program that would extract the artist/title/bpm info from the vdj database xml file.

You can not do this with excel, but may i ask why a artist/titlle/bpm list of mp3 would be usefull to you?.

Just to have a hard copy of the info, especially if I find myself DJiing with only my CD decks at some point.
