Ive worked on a 2.2Ghz 512MB memory 32MB video pc and it analyzes files fast and the pc still multitaskes without a problem. however, i think majority of pc users dont have pcs that powerful.
i have a 1.6Ghz 512MB 25MB video pc that struggles to analyze files while multitasking. Its a celeron (probably the problem). ive read from this forum that its best to analyze all your the files before anything and i think it would be a good idea if the analyze thing had a pause so that the pc could release resources to other programs for weak pc users. coz sometimes one has selected only certain files to be analyzed but doesnt want to cancel the process to work outside vdj.
or a way to save the playlist of analyzing files so that one can pick up where they left off if one has to shut down the pc.
the weak pc users/audio only users would highly appreciate this.

or skip. that STOP only button is not enuff for something that hangs the computer.
STOP, SKIP, PAUSE. i dont think those 2 would be too much to ask could save a lot of time for others. i dont think a 1.6Ghz is weak but....

actually, when you "drag" the analyzing status window...
it does pause
sure, it would be nice,
pause
next
skip folder
skip analyzed
skip hung files
skip huge files
only .mp3 files
remove dead links AND output dead links report in .txt format
full song analyze report in .txt format
they would all be nice.

Pause feature:
when u click multiply scanning sessions from different folders, i think i'd be better for these scans to keep going from the one that was started first instead of the one started last.
here he Pause would come in handy if u need certain sessions to get done before others.
there could be an option to skip or scan Video/Audio files only.
thanx for workin with me kz.

why dont't you use the ProcessExplorer
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/ProcessExplorer.mspx
... select the VDJ task and put it to low or idle priority. Then you have all the resources for other programs and VDJ will just work on the lowest possible cpu usage.
