Sujet joypad contoller

Hi I have a ps2 joypad to vdj it can control the crossfader left to right using the left stick and u,d,l,r buttons and the right stick controlls the mouse
But how do you get it to control the decks channel button up and down, i am wanting this for scratching.
Can someone help please
